Human KLF6 gene encodes a member of the Kruppel-like family of transcription factors. The zinc finger protein is a transcriptional activator, and functions as a tumor suppressor. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, some of which are implicated in carcinogenesis. Recent data indicated that KLF6a-Ccl2b/CCR7 signaling pathway plays an imperotant role in regulation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell lodgement and expansion.
Full-length human KLF6 cDNA (282aa) was constructed with codon optimization using gene synthesis technology and expressed with a small T7-His-TEV cleavage site Tag (29aa) fusion at its N-terminal and 11 arginine (11R) Tag at its C-terminal. It was expressed in E.coli as inclusion bodies. The final product was refolded using our unique “temperature shift inclusion body refolding” technology and chromatographically purified.
