| Intruduction: | HSF2 binding protein (HSF2BP) associates with HSF2, which binds to heat shock element (HSE) constitutively during differentiation, development and spermatogenisis. The interaction occurs between the trimerization domain of HSF2 and the amino terminal hydrophilic region of HSF2BP that comprises two leucine zipper motifs. HSF2BP may therefore be involved in modulating HSF2 activation. Full length human HSF2BP gene was constructed with N-terminal 17 aa (T7) tag. This protein was expressed in E. coli as inclusion bodies, refolded using our unique “temperature shift inclusion body refolding” technology and chromatographically purified. |
