Human interferon regulatory factor 2 (IRF2) gene encodes interferon regulatory factor 2, a member of the interferon regulatory transcription factor (IRF) family. IRF2 competitively inhibits the IRF1-mediated transcriptional activation of interferon a and b, and presumably other genes that employ IRF1 for transcription activation. However, IRF2 also functions as a transcriptional activator of histone H4.

Full-length human IRF2 (346 aa) gene was constructed with 29 aa N-terminal T7 / His / TEV cleavage site Tag and expressed in E.coli as inclusion bodies. It was refolded using our unique “temperature shift inclusion body refolding” technology and chromatographically purified.
