Human glutaredoxin-3 (GLRX3) gene encodes a member of the glutaredoxin family. Glutaredoxins are oxidoreductase enzymes that reduce a variety of substrates using glutathione as a cofactor. GLRX3 protein binds to and modulates the function of protein kinase C theta. GLRX3 protein may also inhibit apoptosis and play a role in cellular growth, and the expression of this gene may be a marker for cancer.

Full-length human GLRX3 (335 aa) gene was constructed with 17 aa N-terminal T7 tag and expressed in E.coli as inclusion bodies. The final product was refolded using our unique “temperature shift inclusion body refolding” technology and chromatographically purified.
