Recombinant Human Sox7 Protein

Product Name: Recombinant Human Sox7 Protein
Catalog #:  hTF-1763
Manufacture:  LD Biopharma, Inc.
Intruduction:

Human Sox7 gene encodes a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of the cell fate. The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional regulator after forming a protein complex with other proteins. The protein may play a role in tumorigenesis. A similar protein in mice is involved in the regulation of the wingless-type MMTV integration site family (Wnt) pathway. Recent data indicated that Sox7 Binds to and activates the CDH5 promoter, hence plays a role in the transcriptional regulation of genes expressed in the hemogenic endothelium and blocks further differentiation into blood precursors.

Full-length human Sox7 cDNA (387 aa) was constructed with codon optimization gene synthesis technology and expressed with a small T7-His-TEV cleavage site Tag (31aa) fusion at its N-terminal. This protein is expressed in E Coli as inclusion bodies. The final product was refolded using our unique “temperature shift inclusion body refolding” technology and chromatographically purified.

Applications:

1. May be used for in vitro Sox7 mediated gene transcription regulation study for early embryonic cell and vasious cancer cells in Wnt/b-catenin signaling pathway by intracellular delivery of this protein with ProFectin reagent.

2. May be used for mapping Sox7 protein-protein interaction assay.

3. May be used as specific substrate protein for kinase and ubiquitin (Sumo pathway) related enzyme functional screening assays.

4. Potential biomarker protein for prognostic diagnosis of lung cancer.

5. May be used for specific antibody production.

Quality Control: Purity: > 90% by SDS-PAGE.
