Recombinant Human LGALS7 Protein

Product Name: Recombinant Human LGALS7 Protein
Catalog #:  HRP-1153
Manufacture:  LD Biopharma, Inc.
Intruduction:

The galectins are a family of b-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. Differential and in situ hybridization studies indicate that human Galectin-7 (LGALS7) is specifically expressed in keratinocytes and found mainly in stratified squamous epithelium. Recent data indicated that LGALS7 is mainly involved in cell-cell and/or cell-matrix interactions necessary for normal growth control. Pro-apoptotic protein that functions intracellularly upstream of JNK activation and cytochrome c release.

Full-length mature form of human LGALS7 cDNA (2 – 136 aa, derived from BC061588) was constructed with codon optimization and expressed with a small T7-His-TEV cleavage site Tag (29aa) fusion at its N-terminal. This protein is expressed in E.coli as inclusion bodies. The final product was refolded using our unique “temperature shift inclusion body refolding” technology and chromatographically purified.
